  General Specification Details
  The 10th Anniversary is based on a 1.8iS.
  Details of the extra equipment fitted to make this limited Edition are listed below.
As the name suggests the 10th Anniversary limited edition was released to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the production of the MX-5 (first released in 1989)
Each car was numbered (out of 7500) with a plaque on the exterior.

The 10th Anniversary was the only limited edition to be offered world wide (the new 3rd Generation Limited edition is only the second limited to be offered across the globe)   

The car was finished in a unique Innocent Blue Mica paint, and featured chrome plated wheels, these were the same patterned wheels as found on the standard 1.8iS of the same year just a lot shinier !

Bilstein shocks added to the handling characteristics and for the first time   a close ratio 6 speed gearbox was fitted.

The interior was just as special with black leather/blue suede seats, blue carpet, a blue soft top and matching tonneau cover. Other details included chrome rings around the Speedo and rev counter, a 2 tone Nardi steering wheel and a set of special 10th Anniversary mats.

Each owner was given a certificate, a pair of his and hers watches that were manufactured by Seiko and a scale model of their new pride and joy (see photo left) 

A truly magnificent car and one of, if not the most sought after limited edition MX-5's.

A car that will surely hold it's value and prove to be a timeless classic of the future.
