London to Brighton 2008 This is the second year that Bob has organised this run, and this year turned out to be even bigger than the first. The starting point was at Ockham Common were a total of 37 cars gathered, time for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich, quick chat with friends new and old, it was then time to proceed down to Brighton through the country. The weather forecast was terrible but Bob was able to work his magic once again and the day stayed fine and most of the cars were able to drive with the top down. After about an hour we arrived at Madeira Drive in Brighton, which was quite busy for the time of year so we though that parking the convoy of 37 cars together was going to be impossible, but unbelievably there were about 40 spaces at the very end just waiting for us ! Everyone headed of to the chip shop, it was then time to explore the pier, were we even found an arcade game that featured the MX-5, time was getting on and it was time to head back just as it was getting dark, a great day was had by all. Many thanks Bob. |
