  What's in the name ? The "Euphonic" limited edition is based around a truly awesome in car Entertainment system thus Mazda named the car "Euphonic", the meaning of the word according to the Oxford dictionary is "agreeable in sound; pleasing to the ear".

  General Euphonic Specification Details
  The Euphonic is based on a Standard car.
  Details of the extra equipment fitted to make this limited Edition are listed below.
  As you can see from from the specifications above this car was given almost all optional equipment available for the MX5 to make a very special limited edition.

One of the key features about this car is the Sony in car entertainment.

The sound has been specially tuned by Sony for open top motoring, and featured the following:-

  1. A Sony CDX-MP80 MP3/CD player in the centre console
  2. A Sony CDX-T69 6 disc cd changer located in the boot
  3. Sony remote control featuring Hi-band infra red
  4. 2 x 25w loud speakers located in the rear windblocker
  5. A Sony tweeter and Xplod loudspeaker in each door panel, capable of handling 150w each !

The wheels were also a key feature, the unique 16" Mesh Titanium finish really suited the car and added to the already sporty feel.

The interior was just as string with Red/Black leather seats and door panels, while the centre console was adorned with a very realistic carbon fibre look finish.

Please note the 1.8 featured exactly the same specifications as the 1.6 but gained the added advantage of a limited slip differential.

Certainly one of the best MK2 (NB) limited editions and probably will become quite sought after in years to come.
