General Havard Specification Details |
|
|
The Harvard is based on a Standard 1.8 |
|
|
Details of the extra equipment fitted to make this limited Edition are
listed below. |
|
|
 |
The Harvard was fitted with unique 5 spoke 15" x 7J Aliseo alloy wheels
and Pirelli P6000 tyres, these were protected with locking wheel nuts.
Inside was a very luxurious place to be, with burgundy leather with grey
piping around the edge, the car also featured a Momo leather steering
wheel. The centre console was finished in a quality walnut like veneer
which added to the classic sports car look.
As with all the MX-5's a optional hardtop was available at extra
cost. |
|
|
Special Harvard burgundy floor mats protected the carpet, while a
chrome brace bar behind the seats made the car handle slightly better
while looking very sporty.
The Harvard was not very high on specification but what it lacked in
equipment it more than made up for it in looks. The red leather interior
with the silver exterior really gave it a classy look and feel to the
car and it certainly looked a lot more expensive than it actually cost.
As with so many of the earlier limited editions good examples are
becoming harder to find, but well worth the effort sourcing one. A
stunning car and one of my personal favourites |
