  General Jasper Conran Specification Details
  The Jasper Conran is based on a 1.8 iS.
  Details of the extra equipment fitted to make this limited Edition are listed below.
 

Jasper Conran who helped design the interior (colour scheme's) of this limited edition was born on the 12th December 1959 , and he is one of the leading fashion designers in England.

The name Jasper Conran is synonymous with elegance and style, so when he put his name on a MX-5 it was sure to be a design icon.

Soft Connolly hide leather was used in the interior, red for the platinum and black for the Classic Black. This is the same leather used in Rolls Royce an Ferrari and has a special aroma to it, even the interior and the boot was lined in matching Wilton carpet.

Interior details included aluminium effect fascia, gear knob and handbrake, in car audio featured a specially commissioned  Sony single CD player with a Mini Disc Changer.

The 15" alloy wheels were multi spoke and manufactured by leading wheel specialist BBS.

The storage compartment behind the gearshift featured a numbered plaque with the limited edition manufacture number (see main photo's)

The exhaust trim and all exterior badges were produced in a satin silver as opposed to chrome.

A set of Jasper Conran luggage also came with the car.   

The Platinum Silver originally sold for £24,000 which many thought was to expensive, and sales suffered accordingly, to put things in perspective this proved to be to this day the most expensive MX-5 ever sold.

The good news is it makes a stunning second hand buy, but with only 100 made in silver and 400 in black you will not be seeing to many for sale.
