  What's in the name ? "Limited Edition" speaks for its self really, 250 limited editions made to celebrate the MX-5's first birthday.

  General Limited Edition Specification Details
  The Limited Edition is based on a Standard 1.8
  Details of the extra equipment fitted to make this limited Edition are listed below.
  The Limited Edition is the first limited edition that Mazda produced it was created to mark the cars first birthday (the BBR was not actually listed as a limited edition)

Finished in classic British Racing Green, the car was also equipped with 15" x 6J unique alloy wheels by one of the finest manufacturer of wheels in the world, BBS

The interior was given tan leather seats along side a wooden steering wheel, handbrake, gear knob and a deep pile carpet, again this reflected a true 'British' feeling about the car (although it was obviously Japan)  

A brass plaque was installed on the dashboard denoting the build number out of 250 (See photo left)

The owner was also given a leather wallet which featured the same brass plaque that was installed on the dash board, alongside a leather embossed key fob.

A powerful Clarion CRX111R radio-cassette and a distinctive analogue clock.

Its worth noting that these cars were generally fitted with a 'stick-on-plate' and had no Mazda emblem on the front of the car, although they did have the word Mazda on the right hand side of the bumper.

It is also thought that 25 out of the 250 were reserved for 'tax free sales or personal exports' so there may have only ever been 225 in the UK.

One of the rarest limited editions to find in original good condition, a certain future classic.
