Limited Edition Photo Shoot Beaulieu Motor Museum Dorset 5th April 2009 |
|
|
After an email from author Liz Turner (of "You an You MX-5 / Miata" by Haynes Publishing) regarding some information for a new version of the book, I decided it would be a great idea to try and gather every UK limited edition for a photo shoot for the book. After contemplating were to hold the event it was decided that it would be a great idea to hold the event at the Beaulieu Motor Museum in Dorset. After 6 months of planning and about 300 emails the day had finally arrived. To be honest we did not think we would be able achieve this ambitious event, but to our astonishment more than 170 MX-5's turned up for the event and to our amazement we actually had accomplished our goal of having every limited edition the UK had produced between 1989 and 2009. We believe this has never been achieved in the UK and is quite a fitting tribute to the car that was 20 years old almost to the day. Although this was primarily my idea there are several people who I need to thank in helping organise this event, without these people this spectacular achievement would probably not had happened. Those people are : Tina Bateman, Ian Mcdowall, Jane McDowall, Duanne Harris, Donna Eberhand, James Fowler, Carol Fowler, Karen Partridge, Robert Pain, Ian Askew, The staff at Beaulieu who were only to please to help, and everyone that attended the event, thank you everyone. You can also see versions of the photos below in the forth coming book due November 2009 called "You and your MX-5 / Miata" Published by Haynes written by Liz Turner Please do not copy or use these photos without the permission of the owner (editor of this site) |
